Autumn 2008 Newsletter

Dear Stoozer,
This month we want to highlight the risks that the credit crunch has brought to Stoozers.
Icesave has recently closed its doors, stopping money from being withdrawn, presenting a real headache to some stoozers.
The UK Government has said that it will reimburse Icesave personal customers completely, but the funds could be tied up for 3 months or more.
We cannot offer advice, but the safer solution would appear to be to own several savings accounts at once to spread the risk. Read our latest article for a series of practical suggestions of how to cope with the current banking crisis

Amex have re-introduced their 5% cashback card again, Good news for shopping slow stoozers.
The Fee free Abbey Zero card is rumoured to be withdrawn next month. Worth applying now just in case.
Capital One continue to extend their 17 month deal each month, whereas in the past the date it ended had stayed the same.
On the downward spiral; Halifax have pulled their One card completely and Barclays Skycard has been reduced from 12 months to 9 months. Not all good news from Capital one, they have also removed their low rate Life of Balance and 'mastercard' products.
