Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
I had similar experiences with all but one of the four applications I made so nothing to worry about. One CSA asked if one account was for a business account but when I said no, it was back to the standard protocol regarding checking details

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
I'll assume this trick probably works without reporting back publicly. I won't be offended if a mod removes my post

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
Haha, excellent banter all. I respectfully withdraw my premature frugal comment. It turns out I've opened 4 accounts relatively easily.

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
I've opened all of the Classic accounts I aimed for. I'll now generate some activity on all of them (cash withdrawal, spending, contactless and cheque).

Re: Comparing Santander to other Savings Accounts
Probably best for someone who has a Santander account to comment on your calcs.

Was tax factored into your calcs?

Re: Comparing Santander to other Savings Accounts
There are a number of regular savers on the market with decent interest rates. You can use these to drip feed from the lowest interest paying account. Theoretically you're locked in for a year on them but this would only be a portion of the overall fund by the sounds of it. Stocks and shares ISA (or...

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
Sounds promising. I have just applied for the 4th Classic account. The first three are showing on my online banking and I've funded them with a nominal amount. I then plan to wait until I have debit cards for all accounts so that I can generate some initial activity on each account. Feel free to add...

Re: Donor accounts... Where to open them?
Do you use Halifax for the Rewards account for free fivers? I only say this because any HBOS account is easy and quick to open once you have accounts with them (as I'm finding out, TSB accounts are relatively quick to generate too). However, as YB points out the risk is always there that any benefit...
