Re: Best Spending Card to back up Amex Cashback?
Tesco's long running offer of 150 bonus points per £50 of branded gift cards ends 25/09/2016 by the way. They've actually replaced this with an equivalent (or perhaps better) offer of 75 bonus points for spending £25 on branded gift cards -- however only in the short term, ends 16/10/2016. Perhaps ...

That's right, the cashback is forfeit if you spend less than £3,000 over the year.

Re: Share watching
Haven't traded shares or CFDs for a long time; back then I paid for accounts with ADVFN and MoneyAM. If you want fully live (not 15 mins delayed) you'll probably have to pay or suffer very limited access, unless you can find a broker/trading account that includes this as part of the service. I also ...

Re: Best Spending Card to back up Amex Cashback?
I wouldn't even feel confident of reaching the £3,000 minimum spending for my free card, without buying gift cards, so won't be doing any Amex spending now apart from reward offers. It's paying 5% cashback for 3 months too, but that will have to go unused. I could still earn 1% cashback using my Bar...

Re: Best Spending Card to back up Amex Cashback?
Hmm... no mention here yet of Amex cutting their platinum cashback rates. Didn't anyone else get the letter? It seemingly applies only to the £25 fee card, or at least I've only received a letter for that card, so far, despite currently having two different platinum cashback cards. They're cut...

Re: Virgin Money
Yeah, just playing cashbacks for pocket money these days. I don't have any significant debt to transfer and can't be bothered to manufacture some / it doesn't seem worthwhile to go down that route as I don't have a way to make more than a negligible amount of stooze profit.

Re: UK base interest rate cut to 0.25%
Pretty much all easy access accounts with bonus rates (and more, including Nationwide Loyalty Saver 15-Year tier) have now announced cuts to below 1%. That leaves basically nothing worthwhile; if you don't have a decent fixed rate, regular saver or current account to use, it seems to be game over fo...
