I've opened all of the Classic accounts I aimed for. I'll now generate some activity on all of them (cash withdrawal, spending, contactless and cheque).

I'll have a answer for you all in April regarding Classic Plus conversion and (hopefully) interest paid @4.89%

I haven't abused Halifax, BoS, or Lloyds (and won't do) so I can't comment on them, but I can assure you that TSB are most definitely not "frugal" with regards to issuing accounts, providing you bide your time. Lets put it this way, at the moment you're a long, long, way off what you can get. ;)

But probably best not to talk about it too much on here?

Did you use your feet or mouse to open these?

Mouse mainly, although had to do 3 with my feet early on! Wouldn't use my feet now though...too much to lose if I caught an advisor on a bad day!

There's no other benefit is there?...unless you're a big contactless spender.

Haha, excellent banter all. I respectfully withdraw my premature frugal comment. It turns out I've opened 4 accounts relatively easily.

I'll assume this trick probably works without reporting back publicly. I won't be offended if a mod removes my post ;)

To follow on from YorkshireBoy's comment. I had to ring them last April as they failed to supply a end of year tax statement for all the accounts. Dreaded the conversation and it went, "I see you have err lots of accounts with us Mr xxx". Followed by deathly silence from me. Past from pillar to post as no one could understand why but nothing more was said.
