Re: Best Spending Card to back up Amex Cashback?
On the topic of Asda... Has anyone set up a 'in case I forget' direct debit? I can't see if it acts like Santander and ignores previously paid amounts or like Halifax and only triggers if not previously paid. Anyone have a view?

Re: Credit scores
I use both noddle and clearscore....more to check for searches and accounts I don't know about than for the ego boost numbers!

Re: tax free savings
For me, to break over the 6% level, p2p has to be considered. Please research carefully and remember there is no Fscs there though.

Fast is a balance transfer via one route or another to a savings pot, for the period of a zero percent balance transfer. Basically maxing out a card in minutes.
Slow is spending on a card over the term of a lengthy zero percent purchase period. Basically maxing out a card in months or years.

Re: Stoozing tactics
Another question for your list... How frequently to get new cards and how to spread out the credit reference searches?
Personally I have a three month warning before a 0% expires as my trigger, not a year though.
